[God is] entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. (2 Cor. 5:19-20). 

One of our goals at VSB is to build a team of VSB Ambassadors with excellent networking, interpersonal, and promotional skills to help expand the VSB ministry. This is an easy and practical way to help spread the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-5) and execute the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Here’s an example of an Ambassador:

A few months before the Cover-to-Cover course started, Marc:

• Invited people from his circle of friends to an informal get-together at his home.
  
• Invited staff members to join in and give a talk about the Cover-to-Cover course.
• Encouraged attendees to join him and his family to sign up for the Cover-to-Cover course.

Impact: Marc, his family, and friends started a new Cover-to-Cover class at a local YMCA.

Here’s a second example:

• In collaboration with VSB staff, Sarah worked with the senior pastor & church administrator to put in place a solid promotional campaign at her church.
  
• In collaboration with VSB staff, Sarah worked with the senior pastor & church administrator to put in place a solid promotional campaign at her church.
  
• At each annual class promotion and sign-up weekend at her church, Sarah ran a VSB information booth and invited a VSB staff member to join her.
  
• Each year before the Cover-to-Cover class started, Sarah spoke with the senior pastor to arrange a promotional slot for Cover-to-Cover during the Sunday service. 
  
• Sarah always sought out seekers or new believers, inviting them to attend a Cover-to-Cover class with her. Between classes, she met with them to provide further encouragement, friendship, and discipleship.

Impact: Sarah has been a model disciple-maker & multiplier! The Cover-to-Cover class ran at Sarah’s church for years, and she has helped disciple many seekers & believers through Cover-to-Cover.

As a third example, here’s David’s story:

• David and his wife were founding members of a new Cover-to-Cover class at a YMCA.
  
• While taking the Cover-to-Cover class, David started actively promoting the Cover-to-Cover class at his church, and invited the VSB executive director to speak about the Cover-to-Cover class to his adult Sunday School class.
  

Impact: David has helped start one class, and is now laying the groundwork for a possible new Cover-to-Cover class at his church.

As you can see, the VSB Ambassador role will differ from person to person and from place to place.
